<h2>Public Services for the Many</h2>

<p><strong>Most Vermonters are scraping by in an economy designed to make a profit for the few. But when workers fight back by organizing together, we can win. I will fight for:<br></strong></p><ul><li><p>The right to unionize for agricultural workers, who are disproportionately migrants and&nbsp; not covered by existing union protections&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Just cause termination, so your boss cannot fire you without due process</p></li><li><p>The right to strike for all public sector workers, including university staff and faculty</p></li><li><p>The abolition of binding interest arbitration, which lets cities and towns force workers back to work without a fair contract&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Better working conditions for all, including an end to the overtime exemption for logistics workers and the right to sit while on the job</p></li><li><p>Paid family and medical leave and expanded Unemployment Insurance to cover all workers up to 100% of their salary, including school staff and workers on strike</p></li></ul>

<p><strong>Vermont cannot claim to be a just state while racial disparities persist in housing, education, healthcare, policing, incarceration, and economic opportunity. Racial justice requires more than statements of support. It requires changing the systems that produce unequal outcomes. As State Representative, I will fight for:<br></strong></p><ul><li><p>Requiring racial equity impact assessments for major legislation, so lawmakers understand how bills affect Black, Indigenous, immigrant, and other marginalized communities before they vote</p></li><li><p>Strengthening Vermont’s Office of Racial Equity and ensuring it has the staffing, authority, and funding needed to identify and address systemic racism across state government</p></li><li><p>Expanding fair housing protections and enforcement, including protections for immigrant families, renters using public assistance, and tenants facing discrimination</p></li><li><p>Reducing racial disparities in policing, traffic enforcement, school discipline, and incarceration by investing in community-based alternatives, restorative justice, youth supports, and transparent public data</p></li><li><p>Supporting immigrant and refugee communities by protecting access to housing, public services, education, healthcare, and legal support regardless of citizenship or immigration status</p></li><li><p>Investing in public goods that advance racial and economic justice, including affordable housing, universal healthcare, strong public schools, public transit, childcare, and good union jobs</p></li></ul>
